At The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes, we honor and support veterans through meaningful action. Our programs empower veterans to find renewed purpose and thrive long after their military service.

The PenFed Foundation collaborates with some of the most inspiring leaders in America. Purple Heart recipients who continue to serve their fellow veterans, and nationally recognized business leaders who mentor veteran entrepreneurs.

Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans, U.S. Army (Ret.), one of the most decorated women veterans in history, led 30,000 troops in Afghanistan. After a mortar blast caused a traumatic brain injury and profound hearing loss, she refused to let injury define her. She went on to create Team Unbroken, an all-disabled adventure racing team that is breaking barriers worldwide. Today, Gretchen guides our new Veteran Wellness Initiative, helping those who served turn pain into purpose through physical activity, teamwork, and community.

Richard Casper, a Purple Heart recipient and Founder of CreatiVets, is transforming lives through art, music, and connection. Every brushstroke and every note become a step toward healing, offering veterans a safe and powerful way to share their stories.
