(Tel Aviv, Israel, Thursday, June 2, 2022) – Fiverr has released the findings of its fifth annual Freelance Economic Impact Report, a comprehensive study that identifies and profiles the largest markets in the United States for freelance workers.

According to the report, independent professionals across the U.S. are estimated to have earned $247 billion in 2021.

The report found that the demand for these workers has surged in the past year. Independent workers continue to be a powerful economic driver as the economy rebounds from the downturns of the pandemic.

Inflation and higher cost of living has allowed these freelancers to increase their hours and rates, and their clients are understanding.

The report also found that independent workers have high satisfaction with their work, despite challenges over the last two years with over 80% believing they are more satisfied than they would be with traditional employment.
