The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes empowers Veterans with the tools and resources to thrive after they move from service to civilian life. Our innovative programs focus on entrepreneurship, wellness, and community impact.
In partnership with baseball legend Tony La Russa and his family’s La Russa Rescue Champions, Shelter to Service is a unique initiative that transforms shelter dogs into service animals for Veterans. The program simultaneously supports Veteran wellness and animal rescue – saving lives on both ends of the leash.
