(Fort Washington, PA, Wednesday, August 5, 2020) – Americans have lost all hope of getting a summer body this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to new research.
A survey conducted by OnePoll, on behalf of Nutrisystem, found that these long days in lock-down may have been a wake-up call for respondents when it comes to healthy eating and their overall eating habits.
The research looks at weight gain, eating habits, stress, the impact of inconsistent routines and the importance of prioritizing healthy eating. Weight gain was a main issue, with respondents sharing that they gained a significant amount during their time in isolation.
Americans are now focusing their efforts on achieving a post-quarantine body and placing a priority on improving their diet.
Poor eating habits might be connected to boredom while being stuck inside, with many respondents saying their top struggle while sheltering in place has been eating healthy.
In addition to eating habits, the survey also looked at what people were wearing during quarantine and their overall daily routines.
