(Fort Washington, PA, Tuesday, February 26, 2019) – Genie Francis’ popularity with audiences began decades ago when she joined General Hospital at the young age of 14, creating one of the most memorable characters in soap opera history, Laura Spencer. This year, Genie celebrates 42 years since her first appearance on GH, working with inspiring, meaningful material as Mayor of Port Charles.

Genie has struggled with her weight for the majority of her life. After joining Nutrisystem and becoming a brand ambassador in 2015, she lost 40 pounds and has kept the weight. Genie also has a passion for interior design and has spent a great deal of time decorating her LA home.
