Dear PSA Director,
Gail Devers has been living with Graves’ disease for more than 30 years. During that time, Gail also experienced eye pain, bulging eyes and light sensitivity. She thought these were symptoms of Graves’ disease but was recently diagnosed with a separate, but related, disease called Thyroid Eye Disease (TED).
Gail wants to educate others living with Graves’ to see a TED Eye Specialist immediately if they start noticing any changes in their eyes.
The goal of this public service campaign from the not-for-profit TED Community Organization is to teach people the signs and symptoms of TED and encourage people living with Graves’ to see a TED Eye Specialist at the first sign of eye symptoms.
The month of July is Graves’ Disease Awareness Month. We hope you will broadcast the enclosed spot whenever public service time is available then, and throughout the year. The PSA is evergreen; there is no end date.
