(Falls Church, VA. Tuesday, December 10, 2019) – One in three people say their stress increases during the holidays. For those who’ve suffered the loss of a loved one, a condition known as “acute grief” can make the season even harder.
The non-profit Capital Caring Health offers a range of free grief support services to children, teens and adults throughout Maryland, D.C. and Virginia. They serve seriously ill patients and their families throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
Carolyn Richar, chief mission officer at Capital Caring Health and her team provide free counseling and support—not only to their hospice patients’ families, but to anyone struggling with loss.
