(Auburn Hills, MI, Monday, March 6, 2023) – The maker of Chrysler and Dodge vehicles is urging vehicle owners with recalled Takata air bags to schedule their free repairs during Vehicle Safety Recalls Week, which runs from March 6-12. Last November, FCA US LLC warned U.S.-market owners or custodians of model-year 2005-2010 Dodge Magnum station wagons, Dodge Challenger coupes, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sedans who had not yet addressed Takata driver-side air bag recalls to immediately stop driving their vehicles. It has been more than 100 days since the stop-drive notice announcement, so FCA US LLC wants to urge consumers to take action and keep themselves and their loved ones safe. Vehicle owners who don’t know whether their car is affected can check their vehicle’s recall status at CheckToProtect.org.
Christopher Freeman of FCA’s safety and compliance team urges immediate attention to this Takata air bag recall.
