The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has published considerations for ways in which schools can help protect students, teachers, administrators, and staff to slow the spread of COVID-19.
The U.S. FDA has issued temporary guidance that may impact food labels. These guidelines recognize the importance of helping to maintain healthy environments and helping to ensure the safety of children with food allergies, as food allergies are a growing food safety and public health concern that affect an estimated 8% of children in the United States. That’s 1 in 13 children, or about 2 students per classroom.
