(Washington D.C., Wednesday, February 13, 2019) – With the 116th Congress now gaveled in and agendas being set, there are several important priorities that the new Congress will need to tackle in 2019.
- Domestic priorities:
- Reform Immigrant Detention;
- Address Gun Violence;
- Address Climate Change: Price on Carbon legislation.
- International priorities:
- Ending US support for the war in Yemen;
- Repealing the 2001 AUMF (Authorization for Use of Military Force);
- Reducing Pentagon budget/military spending.
