September 4, 2018

Stations, the following is a news announcement. Suggested lead in 3, 2, 1

(INTRO)

A national group will host a forum this Saturday to provide a break from election politics and instead focus on the future. The organization is leading a nationwide movement to put problem-solving ahead of name-calling in Washington, D.C. They are developing a National Strategic Agenda designed for use by the next U.S. President.

Jon Huntsman, No Labels national co-chair, outlines the group’s goals.

(HUNTSMAN)

IT’S NO LONGER ENOUGH TO JUST TALK ABOUT RE-UNITING THE COUNTRY…THE NEXT PRESIDENT WILL NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO IT, AND VOTERS IN NEW HAMPSHIRE ARE UNIQUELY POSITIONED TO DO THAT. THE FIRST STEP IS GOAL SETTING, AND WE KNOW THERE IS CONSENSUS ON CRITICAL ISSUES ALREADY. BALANCING THE FEDERAL BUDGET, SAVING SOCIAL SECURITY AND MEDICARE, CREATING JOBS AND ACHIEVING ENERGY SECURITY…THESE ARE GOALS THAT BOTH SIDES CAN AGREE TO, AND A STRONG LEADER WILL USE THEM AS A BEACON.

The meeting will be at St. Anselm College in Manchester.  For more information, visit www.nolabels.org.
