Dear PSA Director,

Most people think that colorectal cancer affects only older adults—but today, more adults under the recommended screening age are being diagnosed than ever before. According to a 2015 study by MD Anderson Cancer Center researchers, by 2030 researchers expect that rates of colon cancer will increase by 90% for people ages 20-34 and 27.7% for people ages 35-49.

This public service campaign from Prevent Cancer Foundation® can save lives. Our goal is to teach people the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer and to encourage them to see a doctor, even if they think they are “too young for this.”

The good news is that colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable. Because most colorectal cancer cases start as precancerous polyps, getting screened is the most effective way to reduce your risk or catch it early when successful treatment is more likely.

We hope you will broadcast the enclosed spots whenever public service time is available throughout the year. The PSAs are evergreen; there is no end date.
