(Harrisburg, PA, Wednesday, November 10, 2021) – After Pennsylvania voters turned out in record numbers despite the pandemic, the same politicians attacking our freedoms are now pursuing an anti-voter election review scam in Pennsylvania and keep spreading lies about an election that our trusted officials conducted and verified.
The 2020 election is over. It was safe, secure and verified with record turnout on both sides. The Pennsylvania legislature launching another election review is a waste of their time and public resources given the other problems facing Pennsylvania in 2021.
Now, instead of just attacking our election officials, they’re coming after all nine million voters in PA by trying to seize sensitive identifying information, including Social Security and Driver’s License numbers, and give them to a third-party. This is a massive invasion of privacy and far too risky to move forward.
Pennsylvania has real problems: an ongoing pandemic and keeping schools open, devastating flooding from climate, and millions struggling to make ends meet and provide care for their families. Another 2020 election review is a waste of time and resources.
All Voting is Local’s Pennsylvania State Director discusses the election review scams and how state legislators want to subpoena voters’ private information, like social security numbers.
All Voting is Local Pennsylvania fights to eliminate discriminatory barriers to the ballot before Election Day. As Pennsylvania works to carry out voting reforms while rolling out new voting equipment commonwealth-wide in 2020, All Voting is Local Pennsylvania is fighting to ensure that polling places are staffed with trained poll workers and solid back-up plans in case of technology problems. They are fighting last minute polling place changes and advocating for elections officials to do more to ensure voters have the information they deserve to cast a ballot that counts. All Voting is Local Pennsylvania also works to ensure that people in jail can register and vote, as is required by law.
