The Next Generation of Wireless Could Create 3 Million New Jobs and Boost US GDP by $500 Billion

(Arlington, VA, Friday, April 6, 2018) – The U.S. wireless industry contributes $475 billion annually to America’s economy and supports 4.7 million jobs, according to a new report from the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and Accenture.
As the U.S. and other global economies look to develop 5G technologies, the report shows that currently the U.S. wireless industry accounts for 2.6 percent of total U.S. GDP (2016). The next generation of wireless could create 3 million new jobs and boost U.S. GDP by $500 billion.
