Patients from children’s hospitals and their families are letting Congressional leaders know that Medicaid needs to work to protect the health of their children and that budget cuts are not the solution to improved care.  Families of seriously ill children are in Washington, DC for “Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day,” an annual event hosted by the Children’s Hospital Association.

Sophia Forde describes how Medicaid helped her eleven year old Hunter Henry get the treatment he needed at the HSC Pediatric Center in Washington, D.C.
