The hectic holiday season can result in families losing focus on safety precautions, increasing potential holiday-related hazards and preventable property damage. Many holiday traditions — including trees, decorative lights, candles and preparing elaborate meals — can pose risks if not handled properly.

OUR DATA SHOWS THAT, ON AVERAGE, THEFT CLAIMS INCREASE SEVEN PERCENT AND FIRE CLAIMS INCREASE FIFTEEN PERCENT. CANDLES ARE THE MOST LIKELY HOLIDAY-RELATED CAUSE OF A HOME FIRE. DEDICATING JUST A FEW MOMENT TOWARDS EXTRA SAFETY PRECAUTIONS – LIKE NEVER LEAVING BURNING CANDLES UNATTENDED AND ROUTINELY CHECKING THAT ALL CANDELS ARE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE GOING TO BED EACH NIGHT, FAMILIES CAN CELEBRATE WITH BETTER PEACE OF MIND THIS SEASON.
