(Washington, D.C., Friday, December 3, 2021) – America’s heroes have given their all. Now there is a way to help give them the comfort of love and family this holiday season.
Non-profit Luke’s Wings has launched this year’s No Soldier Spends Christmas Alone campaign. The goal of the campaign is to reunite over 500 service members and veterans with their loved ones over the holidays.
Americans can now choose to give the gift of flight this Christmas and reunite wounded service members with their loved ones so that all families may be together during this special time.
Luke’s Wings provides complimentary airfare to wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans and their loved ones keeping military families connected during recovery and rehabilitation. These flights bring mental, physical, emotional, and financial support, empowering wounded service members to overcome challenges they face every step of the way.
Luke’s Wings pays for and provides an average of 19 flights to beneficiaries every day.
The organization was founded in 2008 after learning that the government does not always provide flights for family or loved ones to be bedside after a service member is injured. This is where Luke’s Wings steps in to fill the gap for the months and years ahead.
Luke’s Wings is a 501(c)3 military non-profit based in Washington, D.C. With the support of donors across the country, Luke’s Wings provides complimentary airfare to wounded, ill and injured service members, veterans and their loved ones to keep them physically connected during recovery and rehabilitation.
