Marketplace Open Enrollment is the time to change your current health plan or find a new one. You can go to HealthCare.gov to update your information or select a new plan that best meets your needs. Even if you are happy with your current health coverage, you might find something that better meets your needs during HealthCare.gov Open Enrollment.

Every year health plan options change in cost, coverage and participating providers. As a result of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP), millions of customers now have access to newly expanded financial assistance through HealthCare.gov. The ARP provides more financial assistance for Marketplace customers so that nearly everyone who buys their own individual or family insurance through the Marketplace can receive a tax credit to reduce their premiums. Help is now more available than ever before. The Biden-Harris Administration has quadrupled the number of individuals available to help connect people to health coverage for the 2022 plan year.

You have until January 15 to make changes to or select a new plan for coverage starting February 1, 2022.

Beth Lynk, CMS Director of the Office of Communications and Senior Advisor to the Administrator for External Affairs, discusses everything you need to know about the upcoming HealthCare.gov Marketplace Open Enrollment.
