The mission of palliative and end-of-life care is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones. Now, a local institution has been honored with a Circle of Life Award for its innovation in palliative care and for improving the care of patients near the end of life. It is being held up as a model for others in the field.

BY TAPPING INTO THE COMMUNITY’S COMMITMENT TO IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE REGION, WE’VE CREATED A VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN, PATIENT- AND FAMILY-CENTERED PALLIATIVE CARE AND END-OF-LIFE CARE PROGRAM.
