(Phoenix, AZ, Friday, June 26, 2020) – Now is the time to plan for elections. High turnout is expected and the threat of COVID-19 will change how elections are run.

It’s crucial for Arizona’s officials to plan now to expand access to mailed ballots and ensure there are meaningful in-person options.

Officials must keep as many polling places open as possible and allow voters to fix signature issues for their ballots.

Arizona’s voters can also take action and make their voting plan. A safe and secure option is to vote by mail. Most Arizonans already vote by mail.

Arizonans can easily sign up to have their ballots mailed to them. Arizonans can apply to get a mailed ballot through the PEVL or a one-time request. Then, once they have their ballot, they can mail it back, drop it off at an early voting place, or bring it in on Election Day.
