Is your company adoption friendly? The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is compiling its annual list of companies that provide the nation’s best adoption benefits. 

The Foundation’s president and CEO, Rita Soronen, says it’s important to honor companies that support adoptive families by offering these easy-to-implement benefits.

ADOPTION BENEFITS ARE ONE OF THE EASIEST BENEFIT POLICIES A COMPANY CAN OFFER ITS EMPLOYEES, YET THEY MAKE A HUGE IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. COMPANIES OFFER PAID AND UNPAID LEAVE TIME AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ADOPTIVE PARENTS BECAUSE IT CREATES A FAMILY-FRIENDLY WORK ENVIRONMENT. WE WANT COMPANIES ACROSS AMERICA TO TELL US HOW AND WHY THEY ARE ADOPTION FRIENDLY BY PARTICIPATING IN OUR ANNUAL SURVEY TO RECEIVE RECOGNITION FOR SUPPORTING ADOPTIVE FAMILIES.

The application deadline is Monday, April 1, and the list will be released in September. Companies with adoption benefits are encouraged to apply by completing a 10-minute survey at www.adoptionfriendlyworkplace.org.
