(Los Angeles, CA, Tuesday, December 14, 2021) Changes in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease can start up to 20 years before symptoms occur. The AHEAD Study tests whether treating before symptoms are present may prevent memory loss and dementia in the future. If you are between ages 55 and 80, are worried about a decline in your memory, or have a family member that has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, consider joining the AHEAD Study.
Dr. Doris Molina-Henry from the University of Southern California’s Alzheimer’s Therapeutic Research Institute, explains the importance of the study.
