(Auburn Hills, MI, Wednesday, May 23, 2018) – According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 1.3 million vehicles in Florida, including [150,000 in Orlando/175,000 in Tampa/450,000 in Miami], remain on the road with unrepaired recalled airbags.  The airbags in these vehicles are at an increased risk of exploding in hot, humid climates like we have here in Florida.

As summer unofficially kicks off this weekend, local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Truck dealers are hosting Airbag Recall Repair Month. They are urging drivers of all makes and models to check their vehicles for open recalls and immediately contact their local authorized dealer for free repairs.

The airbag recall affects many makes and models built from 2003 to 2013 by most auto makers.

Chris Freeman from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, explains the urgency of these airbag recalls in Florida.
