Duke University Hospital is a Finalist for the 2015 AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize

(Washington, D.C., Monday, July 20, 2015) – The American Hospital Association is committed to recognizing hospital excellence. Each year, the AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality prize is awarded to hospitals for achievements in the six Institute of Medicine Quality Aims: safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, and equity.
This year, Duke University Hospital, is a finalist for the 2015 the AHA-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize.

MY HOSPITAL IS A PLACE WHERE EACH AND EVERYDAY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE CROSS THE THRESHOLD OF DUKE HOSPITAL TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. IT’S A PLACE WHERE I’M INCREDIBLY SURROUNDED BY A TEAM OF PEOPLE WHO REALLY WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THOSE PATIENTS LIVES, AND BECAUSE OF THAT I BELIEVE THAT’S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT REALLY MAKES US DIFFERENT IN TERMS OF OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITY AND WHAT WE’VE DONE TO SET UP THE INFRASTRUCTURE AROUND US TO BETTER SERVE OUR COMMUNITY AND THE CITIZENS OF THIS GREAT STATES.
