(INTRO)

National Adoption Day is Saturday, November 23, and raises awareness of the more than 100,000 children in foster care available for adoption and celebrates families formed through adoption. National Adoption Day events have made the dreams of thousands of children come true as adoptions are finalized. However, every year more than 23,000 children age out of foster care with no family to call their own.

The X Factor standout, Nickelodeon star and Columbia Records recording artist Rachel Crow shares her personal story.

(CROW)

I’VE ALWAYS KNOWN I WAS ADOPTED, AND I’VE ALWAYS KNOWN WHO MY FAMILY WAS.  IT WAS THE MOM AND DAD WHO GAVE ME A SAFE PLACE TO GO HOME FROM SCHOOL. WHO LOVED ME UNCONDITIONALLY AND ENCOURAGED ME TO FOLLOW MY DREAMS. EVERY KID DESERVES TO HAVE A HOME AND LOVE OF A FAMILY. NO MATTER WHAT, THE LOVE OF A FOREVER FAMILY IS THE GREATEST DREAM REALIZED OF ALL.
