The Demand for Cyber Security Professionals Continues to Rise

The Pentagon plans to triple its cyber workforce to defend against computer attacks that threaten national security. Breaches against companies like Target also show the growing need to develop a strong cyber talent pipeline for industry and commerce.

To help grow our country’s cyber talent, defense technology company Raytheon hosted top collegiate cyber defense teams from across the country in San Antonio Texas for a national championship tournament this weekend. These teams took ownership and defended a computer network against attacks from experts in government and industry to determine the winner.

Jack Harrington, who heads the company’s cyber division, explains.
